Dictionary 4 Life

What a hectic few weeks this has been since the last update of the website.

First things first: Please look at the "Projects" page for the latest news on "Katherine's Wood". This project is nearing completion. Our club did a guided walk there recently. More about that and the project in the June Newsletter.

We are about to start handing out "Dictionary 4 Life" dictionaries to pupils of the Meriden CE Primary School. This initiative provides each and every primary school leaver with a dictionary to keep for life. A sample of the front page is shown on the left.

The hugely successful Megaride 2008 was held on Sunday 8 June. The weather could not have been better, the riders could not have been more numerous, the people could not have been more generous. It all made for a very successful day. The RIBI mobile stand attracted a number of potential members. So "Thank you RIBI for providing the mobile stand". Our thanks also go to the Coleshill Town Band for their musical accompaniment. The amount raised for the County Air Ambulance currently stands at £7,000. Many thanks to all the riders and those who contributed so generously. Pity technology let us down as the hoped for link-up with our name-sake club in Connecticut USA did not materialise. It did not detract though from the magnificent achievement of the day. And to the lady who lost her bum bag; the raffle at our Tuesday meeting raised the money that was lost, so don't worry! We hope to see you again at the next Megaride. There will be much more about this event in the July newsletter, so watch this space as they say.

Please go to our "Projects" page for more info about our current projects.
